Härnösand Municipality is looking for a coordinator to strengthen preparedness in municipal healthcare and social services

As a result of a government assignment for municipalities to strengthen preparedness in social services and municipal healthcare, work has been carried out within the social administration since 2023 to analyze and develop the planning of operations to meet the requirements of total defense.

We are looking for someone who has knowledge of societal crisis preparedness and civil defense and is an engaged person with a strong drive. You do not necessarily need to have extensive knowledge of the social administration's areas of operation, but some familiarity is advantageous. You will have overall responsibility for the work, but will be part of a team with colleagues who have experience in preparedness issues.

Job Responsibilities

You will work together with the operations and colleagues in the team on increased competence regarding collaboration and leadership during crises and heightened preparedness, continuity planning, others' preparedness planning, the operations' war organization, exercises as an important part of preparation for potential crises, information security in the area, and target group-adapted crisis communication. The position involves a combination of strategic and operational work. You will provide both consultative and practical support. For the work to be sustainable for the future, it is essential that the administration and employees are involved in the ongoing work at the level that is necessary and appropriate.

In the event of an extension, it may also include being part of the municipality's organization for Duty Officer in Preparedness, TiB.

Qualifications

In this position, you should have good knowledge of societal crisis preparedness and civil defense. A suitable university or college degree with such a focus, or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Knowledge of municipal healthcare and social services is advantageous, as is experience in working with preparedness issues and the Swedish crisis management system.

Other Information

Scope: Full-time, fixed-term employment until 31/12 with the possibility of extension.
Salary: By agreement
Start date: As soon as possible and by agreement.
